Summary:
The Feed Manager at the Sheep Discovery Center is responsible for overseeing the nutrition and feeding of the animals at the facility.
Working closely with the General Manager and a nutritionist, the Feed Manager is involved in the construction of a state-of-the-art feed kitchen, the development of feed rations, and the daily operation of the feeding system.
They lead and manage the feed team, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of feed, while also monitoring quality control and compliance with regulations.
The Feed Manager develops department budgets, manages inventory, and stays up-to-date with industry knowledge.
They also maintain a clean and functioning feed kitchen by developing a maintenance schedule and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications/ Requirements Education:
Associate (Required) Animal care and nutrition:
1 year (Required) knowledge of Word Processing, Spreadsheet, and Database software, Valid driver's license.
Physical demands include the ability to lift, carry, climb, and perform a variety of other movements, as well as wearing required personal protective equipment.
