Summary: The Feed Manager at the Sheep Discovery Center is responsible for overseeing the nutrition and feeding of the animals at the facility. Working closely with the General Manager and a nutritionist, the Feed Manager is involved in the construction of a state-of-the-art feed kitchen, the development of feed rations, and the daily operation of the feeding system. They lead and manage the feed team, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of feed, while also monitoring quality control and compliance with regulations. The Feed Manager develops department budgets, manages inventory, and stays up-to-date with industry knowledge. They also maintain a clean and functioning feed kitchen by developing a maintenance schedule and standard operating procedures. Qualifications/ RequirementsEducation: High School DiplomaAnimal care and nutrition: 1 year (Required)Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software,Valid driver's license and reliable mode of transportation. Work Environment: The employee is expected to work in conditions with high levels of noise and exposure to airborne particles. They may be required to work near moving mechanical parts, in outdoor weather conditions, and in high, precarious places. It is also mentioned that the employee may be required to use a respirator and would need to undergo pulmonary function and respirator fit tests. It is important for employees to understand these conditions to ensure their safety and well-being while performing their job duties.
